Slow Cooked Pork Belly

The king of pork and the bearer of crackle – Pork Belly is what life is all about. This one’s been slow cooked, so it will only take you 30 mins to crackle. We could go on, but we reckon you’ve already left to get the oven going. Fair play.

Try cutting your slow cooked pork belly into cubes and deep frying for 1 to 2 mins in hot oil. The tasty crunchy pieces are a real treat as a nibble platter or added to a salad.

Heating Instructions

-Preheat oven to 240C.

-Remove packaging.

-Dry off the rind with paper towel and rub with 2 tsp. of oil and 1 tsp. of salt into the rind.

-Place on a lined oven tray rind side up and place in the oven for 30 mins or until the desired crackling has been achieved.

-Allow to stand for 5 mins before carving.

Heat times are a guide only and may vary depending on your appliance.

TIP: If desired crackling does not appear, here are some ways to encourage it:

Turn grill to HIGH and place Pork Belly rind side up to heat – watch and remove from heat when desired crackling appears.

-OR-

Heat a little oil in a frypan, place Pork Belly rind side down into hot oil for 5 – 10 mins – watch and remove when desired crackling appears.
