Cheeseburger Potato Gems

Cheeseburger or potato gems? Why not have both? Well now you can! Wrap your chops around these lil' beauties, a perfect moorish snack or party treat that is simply too good to resist.

What You Need

How To Make It

  1. Pre-heat fan forced oven 180⁰C.
  2. Grease a 12 cup mini muffin tin, then add 3 potato gems to each tin and place into the oven for 10 mins.
  3. In a fry-pan over med-high heat, sauté onion until softened, then crumble sausage meat and cook until browned.
  4. Add 1 Tbsp. each of tomato sauce and American mustard and mix to combine, then remove from the heat.
  5. Stir cheeses through sausage meat mix and set aside.
  6. To make cheeseburger dipping sauce combine remaining tomato sauce, American mustard and mayonnaise and set aside.
  7. Remove gems from the oven and using a spoon or shot glass, squash the gems to make a well.
  8. Add cheeseburger mix and return to oven for 5 mins or until crispy and golden.
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped dill pickles and serve with cheeseburger sauce.
  10. Enjoy!
