how to make it

  1. Pre-heat fan forced oven to 150⁰C.
  2. Remove skin from the ham, leaving a layer of fat behind.  Score in a crisscross pattern to form diamonds and poke a clove into the diamonds.
  3. Combine glaze ingredients in a saucepan over med. heat and bring to a simmer.  Reduce to low and cook for approx. 30 mins or until reduced by half.
  4. Transfer ham to a rack in a foil-lined roasting tin, brush ham generously with half the glaze and place in the oven to roast for 15 mins.
  5. Roast ham, basting with remaining glaze every 15-20 mins for 2 hrs or until caramelised.
  6. Glaze with the remaining liquid and leave to cool for 15 mins.
  7. Carve and drizzle with juices from the pan.
  8. Serve & enjoy

Our Leg Ham’s are naturally wood smoked and cooked on the bone. We offer both traditional Hock end and Butt end half leg hams. Glaze and roast in the oven, or slice and dice for sandwiches, pastas, risottos and pizzas!
