Cheesy Croissant & Ham Bake

This Cheesy Croissant & Ham Bake is a delicious combination of buttery croissants, succulent Aussie ham, and gooey mozzarella cheese that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at your next breakfast or brunch.

What You Need

  • 250g Three Aussie Farmers Easy Carve Shoulder Ham, sliced
  • 4 eggs
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh thyme + extra to garnish
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 8 croissants, cut into pieces
  • 150g Gruyère, sliced
  • 150g mozzarella, grated
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 150g honey
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

How To Make It

  1. Pre-heat fan forced oven to 200⁰C.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, mustard, 1 Tbsp. thyme, salt and pepper.
  3. Dip the croissant pieces into the egg mixture and place into an oiled baking tray. Repeat until all pieces have filled the tray. Pour any excess egg over the top of the croissants.
  4. Push the sliced ham pieces into the gaps around the croissant pieces.
  5. Add the Gruyère slices randomly between croissant pieces and ham.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella over the top and place into the oven to cook for 15 mins or until golden.
  7. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, honey, garlic and 1 Tbsp. thyme, then brush over the croissant pieces and return to the oven for 10 mins.
  8. Remove from the oven, and brush generously with remaining herbed honey butter.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
