What You Need

  • 1 pack Three Aussie Farmers Outback BBQ Burgers
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tsp. fresh chives, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. black truffle oil
  • 2 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1½ cups vintage cheddar cheese
  • ½ black truffle, grated (optional)
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 100g mixed lettuce leaves
  • 4 large bread rolls, toasted

How To Make It

  1. Cook burgers according to pack instructions and set aside.
  2. In a small fry-pan over med. heat, add oil, mushrooms, garlic and chives and fry until mushrooms start to colour, then season with salt and pepper, remove from the heat and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over med. heat add butter and truffle oil and stir until melted.
  4. Reduce heat to low, add flour and stir until a paste forms. Continue stirring for approx. 5 mins.
  5. Slowly add milk, a little at a time stirring continuously until all milk has been added and allow to thicken.
  6. Add cheese and grated truffle and stir through until cheese has melted.
  7. While cheese sauce is cooking, assemble the burgers by layering the bun bases with mixed lettuce followed by a burger patty and top with mushrooms.
  8. Remove truffle cheese sauce from the heat and spoon generously over each burger patty, then top with bun tops.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
