Burgers with Truffle Cheese Sauce
Get ready to enjoy a touch of class with our decadent Truffle Cheese Burger, featuring a delicious mix of pork and beef patty, topped with melted cheese and a touch of black truffle!
What You Need
- 1 pack Three Aussie Farmers Outback BBQ Burgers
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 250g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tsp. fresh chives, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. black truffle oil
- 2 Tbsp. plain flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1½ cups vintage cheddar cheese
- ½ black truffle, grated (optional)
- 250g mushrooms, sliced
- 100g mixed lettuce leaves
- 4 large bread rolls, toasted
How To Make It
- Cook burgers according to pack instructions and set aside.
- In a small fry-pan over med. heat, add oil, mushrooms, garlic and chives and fry until mushrooms start to colour, then season with salt and pepper, remove from the heat and set aside.
- In a saucepan over med. heat add butter and truffle oil and stir until melted.
- Reduce heat to low, add flour and stir until a paste forms. Continue stirring for approx. 5 mins.
- Slowly add milk, a little at a time stirring continuously until all milk has been added and allow to thicken.
- Add cheese and grated truffle and stir through until cheese has melted.
- While cheese sauce is cooking, assemble the burgers by layering the bun bases with mixed lettuce followed by a burger patty and top with mushrooms.
- Remove truffle cheese sauce from the heat and spoon generously over each burger patty, then top with bun tops.
- Serve and enjoy!
