Cheesy Sausage Toast Fingers

Cheesy toast is the ultimate snack, and you can up your game with this gooey tasty treat. Perfect to keep the tummy from rumbling.

What You Need

  • 1 pack Three Aussie Farmers Farmhouse sausages, casings removed
  • 4 thick slices white bread
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ½ tsp. thyme
  • ½ tsp. rosemary
  • 8 slices mozzarella

How To Make It

  1. Pre-heat fan forced oven to 200⁰C.
  2. In a fry-pan, over med-high heat, crumble sausage meat and cook into small golden pieces, place on paper towel to drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare butter by mixing, garlic, rosemary, thyme, butter and honey.
  4. Take the bottom slices of bread, deeply score each in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut through.
  5. Cover each piece with 2 slices of cheese, sausage meat and 2 more slices of cheese.
  6. Spread flavoured butter over the top slice, and deeply score in a criss-cross pattern.
  7. Place top layer, butter side up on top of the bottom layer.
  8. Place sandwiches onto a lined oven tray and into the oven for 10-15 mins or until melted and golden.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
