Classic Aussie Banger Pasta Bake

What You Need

  • 1 pack Three Aussie Farmers Classic Aussie Bangers, casings removed
  • 400g large rigatoni pasta
  • Olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • ½ tsp. red chilli flakes
  • 150ml tomato passata
  • 1 cup ricotta
  • 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped

How To Make It

  1. Preheat fan-forced oven to 180⁰C.
  2. Cook pasta according to pack instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a fry-pan over med-high heat, break mince into small pieces and cook meat until browned.
  4. Add onion, oregano and chilli flakes and cook until onions are soft.
  5. Add passata and season to taste, reduce and simmer for approx. 15 mins until sauce starts to thicken.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a third of the meat mix over the bottom.
  7. Add remaining meat mixture to pasta and toss to combine, then add to the baking dish.
  8. Spoon ricotta over the top of the shells and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Place into the oven and bake for approx. 20 mins or until cheese is golden.
  10. Remove from oven, garnish with parsley.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
