Crispy Fried Snag Rolls
Not quite the Saturday morning Bunnings snag, but just as delicious. Golden fried, cheesy and crispy, this one will have you coming back for more!
What You Need
- 2 packs Three Aussie Farmers Texas Beef Sausages
- 12 bread slices
- 3 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ cup tomato sauce, extra to serve
- ½ cup American mustard, extra to serve
- 12 slices smoky cheese
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil
- 1 sprig parsley, chopped to garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make It
- Cook sausages according to pack instructions and set aside.
- Remove bread crusts and roll each one flat with a rolling pin.
- Prepare the egg wash by adding eggs and milk to a shallow dish, then seasoning with salt and pepper and whisking together.
- In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce and mustard.
- To assemble each roll, take a slice of bread, add 1 tsp. mixed sauce and spread over each slice leaving a 1cm gap at one end.
- Add 1 cheese slice and 1 sausage to each slice, then roll up and seal with a brush of egg wash.
- Coat snag roll in egg wash and then cover with bread crumbs, patting to help stick. Repeat until all rolls are crumbed.
- In a fry-pan with 2-3cm of oil, shallow fry snag rolls, turning regularly to brown evenly. Once golden all over remove from the pan and place on a paper towel.
- Serve with dipping sauce and garnish with parsley.
Made with 100% premium Aussie beef, this snag is a cracker! It’s full of flavour without the heat, just that good all round Texas BBQ spice with a touch of pepper and cumin.
Chuck it on a hot dog bun with cheese and onion, or whip up a salsa for something fresh!
