Dan & Steph’s Pork Lebanese-Style Flatbreads
Dan & Steph show us a harmonious blend of savoury beef and pork sausages, aromatic spices, and a tangy sauce nestled within pillowy soft flatbread – an irresistible combination that promises to transport our taste buds.
What You Need
- 1 packet Three Aussie Farmer Classic Aussie Banger Sausages, casings removed
- ½ brown onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. ground coriander seeds
- 2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 pomegranate, seeds removed
- 2 Tbsp. pine nuts, toasted
- 4 flatbreads
- 1 Lebanese cucumber, deseeded and diced
- 3 radishes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup tzatziki
- ¼ cup fresh mint, roughly chopped
- ¼ cup fresh coriander, roughly chopped
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, roughly chopped
Salad
- 1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- ½ Tbsp. honey
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 200g fresh baby spinach, chopped
How To Make It
- Cook the sausage meat over med-high heat. Break into smaller pieces as it cooks. Add in the onions and cook until meat is brown and onions are softened.
- Add coriander seeds, allspice, cinnamon, and cumin. Stir through for 3-5 mins.
- Add in toasted pine nuts and ½ pomegranate seeds. Cook for a further 3-5 mins. Then remove from heat.
- Make salad dressing by mixing 2 Tbsp. olive oil, honey, 1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar, and lemon juice. Drizzle over spinach leaves and toss.
- Warm the flatbreads in a microwave for 30 seconds.
- To make the flatbreads, start with dressed spinach, spiced pork meat, cucumber, tzatziki, top with fresh herbs, radish and additional pomegranate seeds.
- Serve and enjoy!
