

Honey & Chipotle Glazed Ham
Beech wood smoked Aussie ham on the bone with a Honey & Chipotle glaze. This is the perfect balance between sweet, salty and spicy that will have everyone coming back for more!
what you need
- 1 Three Aussie Farmers Half Leg Ham
- 1 cup honey
- 220g chipotle sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. wholegrain Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 lime, juiced
- 100ml water
how to make it
- Preheat fan-forced oven to 180⁰C.
- Prepare the ham leg by carefully removing the rind, ensuring to keep as much of the fat on as possible. Score fine lines into the fat about 1 cm deep. Wrap the bone end in foil to protect it from burning.
- Combine honey, chipotle, sugar, mustard, garlic, lime juice and water in a saucepan over med heat and bring to a simmer.
- Place ham onto a rack to elevate it off the baking tray and pour the boiling water into the bottom of the tray.
- Baste with ½ the glaze and place into the oven for 2 hrs.
- Continue to baste the ham every 10-15 mins, rotating the ham to ensure even colouring.
- Remove from oven, brush with remaining glaze and allow to stand for 15 mins.
- Serve and enjoy!
