Pineapple & Jalapeño Glazed Ham
Bring a little heat and a lot of flavour to your holiday spread with this Pineapple & Jalapeño Glazed Ham. With the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, this ham is coated in a tangy pineapple glaze and spiked with Sweet Heat Co Cowboy Candy, making every bite a crowd pleaser.
What You Need
- 1 Three Aussie Farmers Half Leg Ham
- 500ml pineapple juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 30g butter, softened
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. ground ginger
- 150g Sweet Heat Co Cowboy Candy
How To Make It
- Pre-heat fan forced oven to 160°C and place a lightly oiled rack in a roasting pan.
- Prepare the ham by cutting through the rind just below the shank. Starting at the opposite end, use your fingers to carefully separate the rind from the fat and discard the rind. Place the ham into the prepared roasting pan.
- Combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, butter, Dijon mustard, garlic powder and ground ginger into a small pot. Place over a med-high heat and bring to a boil, reduce the heat to a simmer and add in Sweet Heat Co Cowboy Candy. Continue cooking for 15-20 mins until the glaze has thickened slightly.
- Generously brush the ham with about ½ the glaze. Place in the oven and bake for 15 mins. Brush with more glaze and continue this process for 1 hr 30 mins until golden and slightly caramelised.
- Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 10 mins.
- Serve and enjoy!
