Smoked Hock Sandwich with White Dressing
Craving a reuben sandwich, but don’t have time to make the pastrami at home? Try using our delicious wood smoked bacon hock instead!
what you need
- 1 Three Aussie Farmers Bacon Hock, cooked and shredded
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 small Turkish bread loaves, halved horizontally
- 4 slices of Manchego cheese
- 1/2 cup sauerkraut
Dressing
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp. tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. horseradish cream
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste.
how to make it
- Preheat grill to 220⁰C.
- In a small mixing bowl combine all the ingredients for the dressing and whisk until well combined then set a side.
- Toast the Turkish bread loaves then butter the inside of them.
- Take a generous 2 Tbsp. of the dressing and lather it on top of the butter. Next put the shredded hock meat followed by the sauerkraut and a slice of cheese.
- Place into the grill to melt the cheese for 2-3mins. Remove from grill then place the other half of Turkish bread on top.
- Serve and enjoy!
