Smoky Ham Fried Rice
Craving take away again? Try making this Smoky Ham Fried Rice at home! It’s a quick and easy meal to please the whole family.
what you need
- 150g Three Aussie Farmers Shoulder Ham, diced
- 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, diced
- ½ cup frozen peas, thawed
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 3 cups jasmine rice, cooked
- 2-3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
how to make it
- In a large fry-pan, heat sesame oil over med heat, then add ham, onion, carrot and peas and fry for 5-10 mins until vegetables have softened.
- Move the softened vegetables to one side of the fry-pan, then pour the eggs into the other side and stir to scramble. Once cooked, mix the eggs and the vegetables.
- Add rice to the fry-pan and pour the soy sauce over the top. Mix through the vegetables and egg until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle with spring onions.
- Serve and enjoy.
Tip: A great way to utilse any leftover refrigerated rice!
