Trail Mix with Dry Apple, Pineapple and Bacon
Snacking on your hike is important, and keeping up your daily bacon intake is a necessity. Bring your Trail Mix to the next level by adding brown sugar-coated bacon, it’s a sure fire way to keep you going on your hike, road trip or your walk from the fridge to the couch!
what you need
- 8 Three Aussie Farmers Shortcut Bacon Rashers
- 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 175g raw whole cashews
- 100g dried pineapple chunks
- 75g raw whole almonds about ½ cup
- 50g dried coconut strips, cut into 1cm pieces
- 45g dried banana chips
how to make it
- Pre-heat fan forced oven to 180OC.
- Lay bacon rashers flat on a lined baking tray and cover with brown sugar. Place into the oven and bake for 15 mins. Allow to cool and set side.
- Pour all ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container.
