Tuscan Style Sausage Gnocchi
Impress on your date night with this fancy looking gnocchi dish
what you need
- 1 Pack Three Aussie Farmers Farmhouse Sausages
- 25g unsalted butter
- 1 brown onion, diced
- 2 tsp. garlic, minced
- 500g gnocchi
- 125ml chicken stock
- 200ml thick cream
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- ½ tsp. lemon zest
- 150g sun-dried tomatoes
- 100g pecorino cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup baby spinach
- Fresh basil, to serve
how to make it
- In a large deep fry-pan, cook sausages according to pack instructions. Remove from the heat, slice on an angle, then set a side.
- In the same fry-pan over med-high heat, melt the butter then add the onions and garlic and fry until soft. Add the sliced sausages and gnocchi into the pan and cook until browned.
- Add the chicken stock, thick cream, lemon juice, lemon zest and sun-dried tomatoes and pecorino. Scrape the bottom of the pan gently and season with salt and pepper. Bring to the boil and stir for 5 mins or until the sauce thickens.
- Take the pan off the heat, add in the baby spinach then stir through until spinach is wilted.
- Serve and enjoy!
