Cheeseburger Potato Gems
Cheeseburger or potato gems? Why not have both? Well now you can! Wrap your chops around these lil’ beauties, a perfect moorish snack or party treat that is simply too good to resist.
What You Need
- 1 pack Three Aussie Farmers Classic Aussie Bangers, casings removed
- 450g potato gems
- 1 small red onion, diced
- 3 Tbsp. tomato sauce
- 3 Tbsp. American mustard
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, grated
- ½ cup smoky cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 dill pickle, diced to garnish
How To Make It
- Pre-heat fan forced oven 180⁰C.
- Grease a 12 cup mini muffin tin, then add 3 potato gems to each tin and place into the oven for 10 mins.
- In a fry-pan over med-high heat, sauté onion until softened, then crumble sausage meat and cook until browned.
- Add 1 Tbsp. each of tomato sauce and American mustard and mix to combine, then remove from the heat.
- Stir cheeses through sausage meat mix and set aside.
- To make cheeseburger dipping sauce combine remaining tomato sauce, American mustard and mayonnaise and set aside.
- Remove gems from the oven and using a spoon or shot glass, squash the gems to make a well.
- Add cheeseburger mix and return to oven for 5 mins or until crispy and golden.
- Remove from oven, garnish with chopped dill pickles and serve with cheeseburger sauce.
- Enjoy!
