Easy Tex Mex Meatballs
After a quick meal with a bit of a kick? Grab a pack of our new Texas Beef Sausages from Coles and give this a crack. You won’t be disappointed with this rich and spicy sauce packed with flavour and ready for dipping.
What You Need
- 1 pack Three Aussie Farmers Texas Beef Sausages, casings removed
- 1 brown onion, finely diced
- 2 jalapenos, finely diced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. chilli powder
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- Coriander, chopped, to serve
- Red onion, sliced, to serve
- Corn chips, to serve
Tex Mex Sauce
- 400g canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. chipotle sauce
- 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
- ½ cup beef stock
How To Make It
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage meat with, brown onion, jalapenos, garlic and spices then roll into golf ball size meatballs.
- Heat oil in a large fry-pan over high heat and fry the meatballs until browned on all sides.
- Add the tex mex sauce ingredients to the pan, then stir until well combined and bring to the boil.
- Reduce heat to low and cover. Allow to simmer for 10 mins.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with coriander and red onions.
- Serve with corn chips and enjoy!
