Gourmet Caramelised Onion Cream Sandwich
Our snags are perfect straight off the grill, bit if you’re felling a bit fancy, this Gourmet Caramelised Onion Cream Snagwich is worth a crack! Juicy Aussie snags lathered in a creamy caramelised onion spread, and nestled between two fresh slices of bread – what’s not to love?
What You Need
- 2 packs Three Aussie Farmers Classic Aussie Bangers
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 red onions, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. balsamic glaze
- 150g cream cheese
- 100g rocket
- 1 loaf fresh bread
- Salt & pepper, to taste
How To Make It
- In a fry-pan over med. heat, add oil and sauté onions until they start to soften.
- Add brown sugar and stir through, then remove from the heat, add balsamic glaze and stir.
- Allow the onions to cool, then transfer to a bowl and add cream cheese. Season to taste, mix well to combine and set aside.
- Cook sausages according to pack instructions. Remove from the heat and slice in half lengthways.
- Assemble snagwiches by spreading caramelised onion cream over each slice of bread. Next, layer 8 slices with rocket and place 3 sausage slices on top of each. Top with remaining 8 slices of bread.
- Cut sandwiches in half and place onto a platter.
- Serve and enjoy!
